About Nate
My journey into massage therapy is largely born from three auto accidents.

2002 - A driver made an abrupt left turn in front of me and my brother. My head hit the ceiling and my thumbs hyperextended on the dashboard. I suffered a neck injury that went undiagnosed because I didn't think I needed medical care at the time. I had many chiropractic neck adjustments over the years which only provided very short term relief.

2019 - A driver made a left turn in front of me and forced me to T-bone them. I had a moment to react, and my body tensed hard into the accident. The impact traveled through my entire body as a result. While I could walk away from the accident, later that evening I felt a pain growing in my lower back.

If it wasn't for massage therapists, I would never have gotten the aid I needed to diagnose (but not successfully reverse) the injuries I sustained. Their assessment of my tissues gave enough information to my PCP to unlock specialty care. I visited several other massage therapists, specialty foot care, neurology and ultimately rheumatology... where I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I continued to live with pain. The body and mind adapts. I was still limited, but I changed my life to match the pain.

I had gained a lot of respect for massage therapy, and when a layoff paved the way for yet another career change I decided I would try massage therapy. I enrolled in the North Eastern Institute of Whole Health's training program in 2025.

2025 - While delivering packages during the Christmas season as a second job to help support my schooling, a driver skidded into the driver's side of my car on a snowy December 23rd. Concussion, whiplash, and depression over the reality that I was going to be living with injuries from yet another car accident. I was also working as a short order cook at the Harrisville General Store, and by the time I was halfway through any given shift I'd have a lot of back and shoulder pain that made the rest of my shift really unpleasant.

However, by this point I had a lot of training. I knew techniques. I understood much more about anatomy and kinesiology. I put in time every day towards troubleshooting my own injuries. Eventually, I figured it out... and my technique was born. I focus on whiplash, rotator cuff and posture because I had to correct these issues in myself. I unlocked muscles in my arms and legs.
I have a passion for removing pain in others because I've had plenty of it myself. Not all pain needs to last forever. If you haven't had the results you have been looking for in your pain journey, I can't guarantee results but I'll definitely try my best. Let's talk.
My History
My massage training from the North Eastern Institute of Whole Health covered the following topics:
- Swedish (what most people associate with massage)
- Grigorian (a specialty method for lubricating joints, pioneered by Dr Gabriella Grigore of NEIWH)
- Neuromuscular (palpation for adhesions/scar tissue and trigger points and their release)
- Seated (using a massage chair and its typical applications)
- Sports (range of motion work to assist in preparation/recovery from athletics)
- Lymphatic Drainage

Additional lectures and online topics included:
- Anatomy and Physiology
- Pathology and Hygiene
- Acupressure
- Other topics for a broader overview of the practice of massage

Additionally I logged over 200 hours in clinical work and outside practice prior to establishing my own practice.
